Have just clicked on ' threads I am on' and 4 of them have been deleted.
This seems a bit bonkers.
None of them were anything offensive. I dont understand why mnhq seen so trigger happy these days.

OP posts:

Yanbu. I thought I had found a kindred spirit on a thread the other day, and it got deleted.

Hazardd · 06/11/2019 16:57

Yup. I'm was just settling into a thread, wrote a second post and POOF thread deleted.

I imagine this will be to....

Themazeoflife · 06/11/2019 17:01

PBP to blame normally

WorraLiberty · 06/11/2019 17:04

YANBU, it's been absolutely ridiculous the last 6 months or more.

There was a thread yesterday asking if people were going to boycott M&S.

The answers (mostly no) weren't what the OP wanted to hear and the next thing, the thread was deleted due to the OP's privacy issues Confused

kitk · 06/11/2019 17:08

There don't seem to be deletion messages anymore which is annoying as you don't even know why it's gone!

SmileCheese · 06/11/2019 17:09

There does seem to have been a huge increase in threads being deleted just because the OP didn't get the answers they wanted or people dared to disagree with them.

I notice people are also now often using the privacy reason for threads being deleted when it would be nearly impossible to identify them from anything they have posted.

LolaSmiles · 06/11/2019 18:54

There's quite a lot of threads that get deleted because the OP doesn't get the answers they want and so get the thread deleted for being identifying.

Others get deleted because there's so many individual reply deletions it's like cheese with holes all the way through it

ChicCroissant · 06/11/2019 19:01

Agree that threads are deleted when there is a majority of opinion against the OP, who suddenly has privacy concerns despite posting all the details in the first place. Very frustrating.

I wish we could reply to the deletion message (if we get one)!

V1daw1inter · 06/11/2019 19:20

I know I thought that M&S thread deletion was appalling. Was crystal clear why that was deleted.

littlehappyhippo · 06/11/2019 20:36

@V1daw1inter it was crystal clear why the M & S thread was deleted?

Why was the M & S thread deleted?

It did say 'privacy concerns' which was utter poo, because there was nothing on it to identify the OP.

V1daw1inter · 06/11/2019 20:41

She didn’t like the answers which weren’t what she was hoping for. She hadn’t posted any info that gave away her privacy.Confused

Pitterpatterpettysteps · 06/11/2019 20:50

All the Harry & Meghan threads go poof pretty quickly

Gardai · 06/11/2019 20:52

Privacy concerns can mean bullying, harassment and doxing, it may not be just a flounce.

littlehappyhippo · 06/11/2019 21:22

@V1daw1inter

Oh cool, cheers... Smile

V1daw1inter · 06/11/2019 21:28

Was zero bullying or harassment. She asked for one word answers which most were ie no, most weren’t boycotting M&S.
