To ask about periods after breastfeeding

So back story, I breastfed until 2 months ago, a week before my daughters second birthday.
My periods returned when she was 10 months old.

We were down to one feed per day for a long time before that.

Periods are now every 3 weeks and lasting 8-9 days! Is my body still getting back to normal after such a long time?

I had no periods for three years and, yes, they were erratic for a few months. I was used to setting my clock by my cycle. And I was introduced to clots for the first time at the age of 41. So irritated.

However, I’m almost out the other end now.

Could you be anemic? Being anemic makes your periods longer and heavier and in turn makes you more anemic.

@Babybluesornormal yes I suppose I could, I was after I had her. Will get a blood tree at sorted Smile

@TheSandgroper ah see I'm an older mum too, had her at 41, now 44. Got checked for perimenopausal and all came back fine Hmm

Get something like Fereglobin or Floradix, both are fairly gentle on your stomach & don't cause the problems prescription iron tablets do.

It’s 10 years ago now but I do remember taking some Vit b6 and evening primrose oil for a while. That can help settle them, too.
