Am I being plenty unreasonable?

Yes, I get that language evolves and all that but the word 'plenty' is getting slightly annoying.

Examples I've read today:
'I have plenty money'
'There is plenty work to do'

and perhaps the worst

'It was plenty magical', which makes even less sense!

Is this an American thing? I've only ever seen it here on MN.

I've never seen it anywhere ever. 🤔

GeneHuntLover · 04/11/2019 23:04

Never heard it and certainly never seen it on here

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/11/2019 23:05

Never heard it before.

TheReluctantCountess · 04/11/2019 23:06

I’ve not noticed it being overused.

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 04/11/2019 23:11

I've never heard it either/

Haven't you? I see it quite frequently. Perhaps it just sticks with me because it annoys me and it just washes over those who don't take issue with it.
