An acquaintance of mine recently quit a job in retail to loon for something that suited her more (read: apply for a tonne of jobs shes woefully under qualified for).
She’s now been out of work for 6 weeks.
She’s taken to posting daily on social media about how grateful she is for this time to find herself
how she’s realised employment isn’t everything etc etc.
Which is fine, I know several people who have taken career breaks, however she can afford this stress free existence thanks to her DP. This gets on my nerves slightly, when the real experience for most people out of work is having to jump through ridiculous hoops with job centres to not get benefits sanctions.
This isn’t a dig at SAHP or anything of the sort, but her tedious attitude that now she’s not working she is somehow superior to everyone else as she has time to get to know herself. Whatever that means
AIBU to do a great big eye roll every time I see one of her posts
