To ask you what's wrong with my nail PHOTO

I have had gel on my toenails the past 6 months . I have been doing my nails at home without any problems. I took the gel off my toenails last night and decided to have a little break from it. Once my nail was fully clear I noticed the discolouration on one of my nails. What do you think this is? Nail fungus ? and how can I treat it?

You’ve had nailvarnish/gel on your nails too long. Let them breath for a few months

Get it checked out by the GP as it could be melanoma

I'd get that checked, it looks more than nail varnish discolouration, but probably just a fungal infection.

Yes I agree it is for sure more than just discolouration. The melanoma comment really scared me. I hope its just a fungus! Will get it checked however every time I go to the GP I feel like they think why I am wasting their time with such a small issues.

Ye it's a greeny. Moisture has been trapped under the gel (possibly gel wasn't sealed at the edges properly). So it is just discolouration, it will grow out and you don't have to wait before putting your gel back on. I am a also a trained nail tech

You are not wasting the gps time. Go and get sorted
