Has anyone got suggestions for 40th birthday presents?

Who for? Male or female?

CryptoFascist · 03/11/2019 22:34

Depends what sort of thing the person likes, surely

BarbaraofSeville · 03/11/2019 23:26

When I was 40, it would have been gin, fizzy wine, something from hotel chocolat, medium weight hiking socks or Amazon vouchers that I wanted most.

No good for a tee total health concious person who doesn't like the great outdoors though.

If its a close friend, a book of 40 memories or similar? So, say, 10 photos, 10 stories of things you've done together, 10 things you love about them, and 10 ideas for the future to do together?? Or 10 things written by other close friends as an alternative.

Something to do with her kids, afternoon tea voucher, tickets to the cinema, Christmas lights tickets or something like zoo tickets, vouchers towards a meal out (somewhere I could take the kids like prezzo) I'm that age and main interest is my kids and I'd love anything like that.

FFSnotanotherone · 04/11/2019 00:27

Any other interests? That are personal to her? People to tend to be interested in their kids...

Pixxie7 · 04/11/2019 02:55

She loves her dogs and work it’s just she is so selfless that her whole life revolves around her family. She will do anything for anyone but gets taken advantage of.
So would really like to get her something for herself.

If my experience of turning 40 is anything to go by,you should get her a few years worth of Prozac!

Bunbunbunny · 06/11/2019 14:22

An experience like afternoon tea, if she's not materialistic I would take her out for a fun day
