Sick of been sent several photos and not being able to add them both to a package (tempest)

Why cant schools just set up a seat on the hall, drop the curtain and suggest several backgrounds then do their own photos + Charge half as less and keep the money to go towards funding instead of getting professionals in? Maybe people would buy more + school get more funding.

I don't buy them now, apart from how expensive they are I'm really not impressed with the photos themselves since my kids have been at school. The children seem really awkwardly posed and the background is just white - they could be anywhere! All of my school class photo's (from the same school) were of all us standing either on the playground or at the front of the school, its a really old and picturesque little school, seems a real shame not to have it in the school photos.

I get them taken in Tesco now. £30 and I get them all on cd for all the children. Could of done a £5.99 package per child but I wanted the disk.

I don't buy the school photos. I can take zillions of quality photos of my son with my phone. If I want to I can take a photo of him in his uniform sitting against a neutral background. Save your money.

Those people who take "great" photos with their phones that are so good they rival a professional photographer's, do you ever get them printed out and, if so, how big are the prints?

A local photographer on FB has a service where you pay for 20 pics. I had my 3 kids (different schools) pose separately and together and I got to approve each pic. There was one where my son was too slouchy so she retook it. It was in her living room and the kids weren't rushed so the quality was much better.

When we left we saw another family arrive in uniform.

@GrotbagsBetterLookingSister we have one of DH's phone pics in approx A3 in canvas, although most of his pics are DSLR. Wouldn't want school uniform pics bigger than desktop size...
