What is this? Should I see a doctor?

A few weeks ago I noticed a tiny spot on my chest - I felt it rather than saw it. I must have scratched it because it began bleeding profusely. It stopped and, over the next few days opened up and bled profusely several times. It healed about 10 days ago, but feels like it is growing bigger since it healed and it is quite itchy. Im covered in moles, 3D ones, flat ones and freckles. I honestly can't remember if this used to be a little mole or not. I don't want to bother my GP if its nothing, but im very concious of it. Anyone know what it is?

That's perfectly normal, I have a few of them. I forget the name of them, but I showed one to my GP years ago and they weren't the slightest bit worried.

They are called Campbell de Morgan spots and are harmless. I have quite a few.

Thanks! I feel better now. My moles have always been an issue - im forever being told to keep an eye on them so I think i'd worked myself up a bit.
