Honestly, what is it with narcissistic people that they feel the need to publicly declare this kind of shit. So sure of themselves.
Yet when they end up with egg on their face, they don't go and hide. It just bolsters them further.

Nah it would just give her more attention. I actually believe she's seriously mentally unstable because her behaviour and responses to conflict are off the chart weird. The living embodiment of a troll who doesn't appear to care about any consequence, even if severely detrimental to her and her dc. She also seems to have no moral compass. I worked with someone like her years ago, it was terrifying.
