To ask for term time holiday fine advice.

We have been issued holiday fines for our children £120 each so £240 in total, we took them on holiday so not disputing the fine as such. My dh fine has been issued in the wrong name, for example his name is Frank Smith and it has been issued to Fred Smith. He is down on council tax, electrol roll etc as the correct name all things the council run so they should be aware of his name. Does anybody know where we stand on this? I have informed the council and they didn't seem to get my issue which is I am not prepared to pay a fine issued in the wrong name, mainly because they can issue again in the correct name and we would have to pay again. Has anybody come across and thing like this before? I am stumped at what to do.

I would pay yours and just contact them to say the name is wrong on your husbands but as soon as they reissue you’ll pay it.

Put it in writing as a 'challenge that you need it reissued to the correct name.

Mine is paid, I have tried to get them to reissue dh but they won't. I am not trying to get out of paying his fine just want to pay his fine. When you ring to pay they ask you for the fine number, dob, address and name as data protection, I can't pass this section as they have his name wrong it is so frustrating. I think I would be an idiot to insist on paying a fine in somebody else's name.
