Christmas stockings

I am 41 and have a child of my own. We go to my parents for Christmas. My mother insists on giving me and my siblings a stocking full of plastic tat. it's only Halloween and I'm already annoyed about it happening. WIBU to request no stocking this year? I could definitely do it nicely. Or am I the worst person in the world?

Try requesting something specific, e.g. stockings with a few sets of plant seeds or whatever is useful to you. That way she can make a stocking, but hopefully it won't just be plastic waste.
