On a FB page about the royals. A female para athlete ‘cheekily’ pinched Prince Harry’s bum. I pointed out how wrong that was and how the opinions would be different if it was Meghan and a male athlete. Have been accused of ‘being one of them’, and now in an argument with a 60 year old woman who says that she would be glad if someone did it as it would prove she still had it. Am I out of order or does this attitude just make it easier for men to excuse their behaviour?

No, you're not out of order. You're completely right. The people who think female on male discrimination/abuse is ok are the people who think male to female is ok and we'll just need to wait until these feminists run out of steam so life can go back to the 1950's Angry

She is still going on. I can’t believe woman still have that attitude in 2019

Totally. Equality works both ways. We can't try to keep women safe from sexual crimes then snigger about it being a joke or banter when it happens to a man.

AzraiL · 30/10/2019 13:08

You are not being unreasonable. In this case i'd take being 'one of them' as a compliment honestly.

Don't argue with randoms on Facebook, you will be 100x happier.

YADNBU. I went right off Ellen as there was a picture of her learing at another woman's cleavage. Certainly wouldn't have been okay if Ellen was a man.

much worst than that, is women who believe that this attitude is what brings equality.... You can't argue with stupid!

No, you're not being unreasonable in your argument at all - nobody has the right to pinch anyone's bottom, male or female. If this is about the young woman yesterday though who was posing for a group photo, she didn't actually do that at all. She accidentally moved her hand too low when they were posing and then got really embarrassed and apologised. There was no pinch. Unless something else has happened I've missed.
But regardless, if someone did that to him it would be out of order and no different to a man doing it to a woman, I agree.
