To ask what is a steam maze? Suspicious?

A random number flashed up on DH phone last night saying they had fun at the steam maze. I've not said anything to him yet as it could have a) been a wrong number/sent to wrong number b) be some weird online gaming terminology or some other perfectly plausible explanation. I've googled it but to no avail.

Can anyone help?

Maybe an autocorrect error?

Steam is an online shop where you can purchase games - maybe it's related to that?

MarthasGinYard · 29/10/2019 08:27

Is he a gamer?

FlopsRevenge · 29/10/2019 08:28

Someone making a funny reference to a spa? E.g. They got lost walking around it?

Lushloo37 · 29/10/2019 08:29

Yes he's a gamer, he spends a few hours a night in his games room 🙄

It is an exploration game on the Steam platform

Someone has introduced him to the early access version currently available. He has added to the game's likelihood of becoming a full release!

I would presume they we’re talking about a spa which was difficult to navigate. X

milliefiori · 29/10/2019 08:30

Are you in London? There was an amazing art exhibition at Tate Modern where you walk through a room so thick with steam you can't see a thing. Could be that or similar to that.

cherryblossomgin · 29/10/2019 08:30

Steam is a big gaming platform so probably about a game he was playing. I use steam, maybe there is a free maze game he was playing.

Steam is an online gaming platform.

SugarThreat · 29/10/2019 08:32

Yeah, a bunch of gaming stuff pops up when I google it.

I searched before I realised that you had already done that and literally the first result was about gaming, I'm not a gamer so don't know what it means but if your dh is surely that's the most obvious explanation. Which search engine do you use, for some reason mine had changed itself to bing rather than Google so maybe that's why you weren't able to find it

It’s amazing how many posters on MN ‘just happened to see a text flash up’ on their partner’s phone.

CalamityJune · 29/10/2019 08:47

Poor bloke!
