To leave ds16 with mate overnight

Dh disagrees said there should be parental oversight over night The mate is a girl friend (not gf) she's a little wild don't know her well.
Ds is trustworthy and sensible for the most part. Combination of factors of work and social things mean that there are 2 consecutive nights where ds 'could' be alone. One of them he asked to have friend.

Dh thinks he's fine in his own bIt with a friend there one or other of us need to be there overnight ( probably not getting there until midnight)

Ainu in saying it's fine?

Umm a 'little wild' you say. I'm with your dh on this one.

Wild probably a bit unfair and strong. He's against him having anyone over without parental oversight. I think at 16 we should be able to trust him.

I left my DS16 home alone for two nights and he enjoyed the responsibility. His DGPs did live a mile away though and were on 'standby' for any problems (of which there weren't).
