....to ask why people troll?

What do people get out of it? Seems there has been a few threads today which have been taken down due to them not being real. Is it just for the attention?

It’s strange, isn’t it! Certainly not something I could ever be bothered with doing!

I think I’m just really naive! Twice on here today I’ve replied to a thread thinking I was being helpful only to have the thread disappear minutes later.
And at lunch today a good friend told me a story from her childhood - but a mutual friend told the same story weeks ago at a dinner party as if it had happened to her! I believe my good friend but this means that the other woman is just going round telling this story to get attention!
I don’t understand people.

I guess boredom and attention - I think to some it’s just like a fun game or a bit of a shit hobby to be more accurate. I think anonymity on the internet doesn’t bring out the best in people

I think it’s pathetic, it’s waiting good peoples time. And then it ruins it for people with real problems as some believe they’re trolls

Some people definitely do this. One of my friends is mutual friends with someone who has become friends with someone we knew at school (I hope that makes sense Grin) she’s been saying all sorts of things to this person like that she’s been adopted and lived in different countries as a child when she was actually at school with us - it’s so bizarre.
