As when you look on the website i can’t tell and I’m thinking of going there

ShetlandWife · 25/10/2019 19:58

I'm pretty sure they do 'extras'

Clues: they work till 1am, and the photos of the staff

itsbetterthanabox · 25/10/2019 19:58

Looks legit to me. There's proper treatments list including face stuff and pics of women as clients.

VanessaShanessaJenkins · 25/10/2019 20:00

Half of the website is broken and the trip advisor reviews are Hmm

Lardlizard · 25/10/2019 20:08

Oh I’ve not seen it on trip advisor

Well the shops are open till midnight so 1am doesn’t seem that strange
But what about the name and photos of the staff ??

Bigbopboo · 25/10/2019 20:16

I think I had a massage in a place that does extras a couple of weeks ago.

Was coming to the end of the massage and the woman put her hand on my tum under the towel and told me I was really beautiful. I leapt of the couch and ran.

AaaaaaarghhhWhereAreMyKeys · 25/10/2019 20:16

Well all of those ladies seem to have had boob jobs 🤔

There’s a Thai spa near me which seems like an honest local business on the surface but DP swears it’s a knocking shop...They do seem to have quite a few male clients. Once they had a couple of male clients in and when I left the room I was in, one of the ladies seemed hanging around in the hallway outside the other rooms, for added security maybe?

EdWinchester · 25/10/2019 20:21

My colleague went to a new Thai massage place in our (highly respectable) town.

I took the piss, but he said it was legit.

When he was enjoying his massage, he heard the unmistakable sounds of a 'happy ending' from the room adjacent.

ReturnofSaturn · 25/10/2019 21:47

Hm the pictures of the staff definitely make it look suss!

Itsjustmee · 25/10/2019 22:36

It’s what’s known as AMP or Asian Massage Parlour
There are loads of them in Dubai
I was sat outside a restaurant in Dubai a few months ago and there was one right opposite
My friend and I counted 18 guys go in within the space of an hour 😂 not that we were watching or being nosey just people watching 😂.
You won’t have a problem getting a proper massage but you might have to run the gauntlet of punters looking at you
The more reputable proper massages places are in hotels and are probably three times the price

Meshy23 · 26/10/2019 03:29

Seems legit because it’s based on an IBIs and another hotel and you would expect IBIS to have verified. Also their treatments seem ok - except the four hands one...

GuessWhoColeen · 26/10/2019 03:43

Probably yes.

BTW I have seen lots of local ones on Gumtree of all places Confused

INeedSleepToo · 26/10/2019 03:51

Their message about business in 2008 is bizarre or possibly lost in translation? I’d definitely be concerned due to the photos of the staff all in slightly provocative poses, airbrushed and all with massive boob jobs.

1littlequestion · 26/10/2019 04:33

INeedSleepToo. And also slight manly look from a few of the girls. Hands are a give away.

aLilNonnyMouse · 26/10/2019 04:43

The google reviews are pretty bad, hygiene issues, not getting what you paid for, and not getting the time you paid for. I'd give it a miss just because of that.

GameChange123 · 26/10/2019 04:59

Well, HV stands for Happy Valley! I went to a salon in Hong Kong that I am convinced was a knocking shoppe . Got a
great hairdo but one of the western male clients was surprised to see me there. Suppose I could have paid for extras??!!! 😉

braw · 26/10/2019 05:38

I'd take your own towels OP.

GrumpyHoonMain · 26/10/2019 05:55

Massage parlours that are legit in Dubai target women and are often double the price. You can usually tell if they are or aren’t if they offer hair removal services - if not just assume they are knocking shops

stupidis · 27/10/2019 09:46

A lot of massage places would also have a 'ladies only' stance on their website.

isabellerossignol · 27/10/2019 10:02

I have no idea about Dubai but I had exactly the same thought recently when walking down the street in a town and saw a Thai Massage Parlour, which although it looked like a normal salon in a normal street, had a very prominent sign saying that no appointment was necessary. And I felt like I had a lightbulb moment...

PippiDeLena · 27/10/2019 10:17

The website doesn't work for me, but I once accidentally bought a boyfriend a massage at a happy ending place so feel qualified to comment. If it's a genuine massage place it'll do nails / hair removal / facials / other woman centric things. Any stand alone massage parlours tend to be brothels.

If you're in Dubai then ask your hotel if they recommend anywhere.
