Went into JD sports this morning, have to say I don't usually shop there for myself but needed some exercise clothes so nipped in to find they had just what I wanted.
Anyhow, went to try to on and all changing rooms were locked, had to wait ages for a staff member to be free. The store was empty but I was told I would have to leave my shopping bags outside the changing room. I was surprised to say the least, but the staff member said don't worry, he'd watch my bags so that nobody would take them.
I I had to try the clothes on with the man waiting outside with my bags! It made me really uncomfortable, I like to take my time trying clothes on and usually step out and look in the other mirror, but I felt rushed knowing he was waiting outside.
It's not the staff fault, they were perfectly polite, I expect it's policy because they get a lot of theft, but really they count your items anyway, and how would it work if the shop was busy leaving bags outside?
Aibu to think this is a shit policy? Btw wouldn't dream of complaining because it's not the staff members fault, but just wondered if anyone else thought this was rubbish.
