To think this is a breast cyst

I have been referred under the 2 week protocols so I am getting seen in a few days but i can’t stop thinking about ‘the lump’ so humour me as I am really worried.

I check my boobs regularly & am 99% sure it wasn’t there a couple of weeks ago. It’s large, squidgy and moves a bit- kind of wobbles. I also feel like I have had a couple of other similar grape like lumps come and go. I am on day 23 of a 26 day cycle & saw the doc just after ovulation when they felt it & referred me. Am fairly sure I would have noticed if it was there last month as it’s pretty big.

Aibu to think (hope) its a cyclical breast cyst? I am 47 & very peri menopausal too

Does sound like a breast cyst - they do come and go. Obviously they want to be sure, especially if it's the first time you've had one, but it's probably nothing to worry about. (Easy to say, though - I panicked like anything the first time, although now I've had several I don't worry at all.)

Can they also be there a bit & get bigger & smaller during second half of cycle? I am wondering if it was flatter before

I'm in the same situation at the moment. My GP isn't overly concerned and has only referred me because he isn't 100% exactly what it is.
