Mainly the brand changing its packaging to be trans friendly. Are we slowly eradicating womenhood? Along with " pregnant person". It feels such a slippery slope.

Not just you. Seems par for the course. Women just have to put up and shut up while patriarchal society tells us what to be and how to behave.

No more!

I'm all for people being whatever they want and giving themselves whatever label they desire.

But only women have periods. If you have periods you are a woman. I find it a little odd that if you wish to transition to being male, you wouldn't take medication to surpress hormones at the very earliest instance.

Im honestly wondering what is going to happen next i mean didn't we have to fight to achieve pretty shitty results so far with pay, treatment etc. It seems our space is getting smaller. And i know someone will say their are bigger issues at play i.e brexit poverty etc. But in my sleep deprived memory at university lecture a phrase has always stuck with me. Sort out women's inequality then you can sort out world inequality!

I think they can take hormone replacements or to stop. But it's a personal choice, im not aware of treatment plans. I think to have body dysmorphia must be so traumatic to the individual and distressing. But why change a brand name of packaging??

i know someone will say their are bigger issues at play i.e brexit poverty etc.

And when people say that it's just another way to try and make women feel selfish for thinking of their own needs/wants/position because really we are conditioned by society to feel guilty if we ever put ourselves first.

Rational people will understand that it's possible to care about more than one issue at a time and that even a tiny woman brain can have opinions on both the erasure of women as a specific gender and other issues such as Brexit or poverty.

I just think its hard to defend our position atm. Im a frequent listener to women's hour and other such radio 4 delights. And when the red box campaign came up i thought great. Now will they think about changing the packaging for everything? Needless to say what a bloody waste all of it will be. But you didn't hear people go after her for her campaign. Or will it only be a matter of time??

@Ibleedibreedibreaatfeed

Put a link to what product you're on about please.

Coz I have no idea what you're on about.

Is this because transwomen might feel left out, or because reminders of their female bodies might be triggering for transmen? (I'm guessing the first, because we can't be hurting their precious lady-feelings, and menstruation is a big enough reminder for TM without worrying about a fecking symbol on a plastic wrapper).
Either way, it's possibly the biggest waste of time and energy I've ever seen.

I haven’t seen it but it wouldn’t surprise me. Tess Holliday put a post on Instagram yesterday that said “any gender can get their period” Hmm

Because it has a venus symbol on it!

It's transmen complaining that sanpro that reminds them they are female is 'triggering' or some shit.
I HATE HATE HATE erasing women from female experiences. The absolute worst is 'pregnant people. No. Fuck off. I will not be erased so they can include the tiny number of females who like to call themselves men whilst being pregnant and giving birth.

Be warned they will zapp your thread although I always point out they haven't denied anything on the facebook page but neither have they answered the question

It's always. I already refuse to buy them because I don't really like my fanny smelling like my granny's front room.

I now refuse to buy any proctor and gamble products which is a pain as dd likes aussie shampoo and I like oral b toothpaste and Tampax.

But I won't buy from a company who are trying to erase women from fucking sanpro.

I'm a bit confused by all this. I don't usually buy Always as I think it's overpriced and Wilko sanpro is just as good, but I had an emergency last month and had to get some from the local pharmacy and Always was all they had. Anyway, the packaging is just green with random triangles and a couple of circles stuck in one corner - not a venus symbol in sight. Confused

It's not transphobic hateful garbage it's real concerns being raised by women what's hateful garbage is being called transphobic for not wanting fully functioning rapists in female prisons it's not transphobic for not wanting men with swords in the bathroom bleating people are transphobic because they saw "her" and "her" sword and chose not to use the facilities

It's not transphobic to say no
