I recently bought two expensive tickets for the London show at the O2 of a US act's global tour, in July 2020.
I expected a stampede so bought as soon as it said 'Best available'. I read later that day that the whole tour had now sold out and felt very lucky.
Two days later I get an "Important Email" from AXS, the supplier (the O2's official supplier) asking if I wanted to sell my tickets or buy anymore. The link then showed that a substantial number of tickets were available in much better seats. I bought two better ones and uploaded my old ones for sale and got an email a couple of days later saying my old tickets had now been sold.
However, the email also said that I would be refunded my £170 within ten days of the show taking place, ie July 2020!! Their Help section said this is to combat fraud, but I think this is an almighty scam to earn millions in interest by hanging onto the sales from sold arena tickets for almost a year (they're a global company selling tickets for hundreds of arena tours).
Has anyone else experienced this?
