Help with film from the 80s

I'm trying to remember a film from the 80's - at least, that's when I remember it from.
I was a children's film, and my mum recorded it off the tv for us.
It was about a rabbit - large man sized white rabbit who would vanish and reappear.
I think there was a tea party or birthday party in it.
The was a child the rabbit befriended.
It was with actors, not animation.

Not Alice in wonderland obvs.

Might have the word 'big' connected

Is it North - a Rob Reiner film with Bruce Willis as the man in the rabbit suit?

Rugbycomet · 19/10/2019 08:44

I can only think of Who Framed Roger Rabbit but that does have animation. Sorry

Harvey?

MuchBetterNow · 19/10/2019 08:45

Sounds like Harvey but that's not a children's film from the 80s

Was it Horatio Nibbles?

whereareallmyhairbands · 19/10/2019 22:37

No,

The rabbit used to say "TTFN"

Mr Horatio Knibbles, a CFF film? Just googled bunny and TTFN and that came up. It's on YouTube if you want to see if it's the right one, I'm tech incompetent and can't do links...

whereareallmyhairbands · 19/10/2019 22:42

I think it must have been mr Horatio Knibbles...

But I didn't recall him being so utterly terrifying lol!!!!

Donnie Darko?!

Sheena99 · 19/10/2019 22:46

It's about context I think, effects were so basic back then, we took no notice, but looking back it's hard to imagine how it wouldn't freak you out, he is vaguely horrifying.

It’s Horacio nibbles!! I loved that film!
