Hi all.

DD is seven months, full of cold and utterly miserable 😢 She’s just woken up crying, coughing and spluttering for the second time since going to bed at 7. She’s dropped back off to sleep now after a spell in a steamy bathroom and some snuffle babe in her room, but I know it likely won’t be long before she’s awake again. Poor little mite is usually very content and cheery but is miserable at the moment. We’ve also given her some Calpol and put some snuffle babe on her sleeping bag.

Any other remedies we could try? We do have some saline drops and a nasal aspirator but she thrashes around and screams when we try and get near her with it. Is it just a matter of holding her very tightly and getting on with it?

Feeling very sad for my poor little un Sad

Thank you

Calpol plug in is my life saver ☺️ Otherwise literally everything else you’re doing plus elevating her cot, hope it passes for you

Also get the saline spray! It makes them sneeze then you just wipe away 😘

Another one for the Calpol plug in and saline spray. There's not really a huge amount you can do unfortunately but I always found those to help a little

Prop a pillow under the mattress to keep her head up at a slant it will stop her choking on mucus.
I use baby vicks on their feet with some socks I find it works well.
I'm not sure at 7 months though.
