Mine asked me why I was crying. I had to say they were happy although I am dying inside after getting the worst news I could ever get this year 😭😭😭. Hope you are ok OP

#happy tears

Mine are at the age when they know why i'm tired. I've just spent a long day with my aging parents. They could tell it had taken it's toll and were cooking dinner for me when i got in.

If it's soemthing i didn't want them to know about then i'd probably just say i hadn't slept well the night before.

Hope you are both ok!

At work two weeks ago, two of my year 8’s walked into class and looked at me with shocked wide open mouths and one said, in a totally shocked way, ‘miss! Why do you look sooooo exhausted?!’ So that felt great Hmm

My 8 year old can recognise “grumpy”, “tired” and “sad”, ask why and deal with a slightly cleansed answer e.g. It’s been a hard day at work and mummy is really tired...
It’s nice. I often get a hug!
