Meeting in a petrol station

My husband and I were on our way to a wedding reception last night and had to put petrol, as my husband was filling the car, this young lady turned up, dressed to kill in 6 inch stiletto heels and a tight black mini dress, she tripped her way into the petrol station (the petrol station is on a hill, so there is a downward slope to get to the pumps) and smiled big smiles at all the men there trying to fill their cars up, then she pulled out her phone, and walked across the forecourt to a parked car. Young man jumped out, and they shook hands then she jumped into his car and off they went. Obviously she didn't know the man she was meeting, but I just watched it all go down thinking, where did she walk from in those heels, and why on earth would you choose a petrol station to meet someone for a blind date????? Maybe I'm getting old....

Petrol stations are a good, safe place to meet strangers, because they have good CCTV, so if something bad happens the evidence is there.

I've never dressed up to meet a blind date or paying client in one, but I've done eBay sales at petrol stations, and my work sometimes requires me to deal with members of the public, so it's preferable for both of us to meet in a neutral place, that's not their home, so I've met people in petrol/service stations before.

Could be a tinder date, could be "business"! As good a place as any

So black mini dress and heels =prostitute?

Ok then Confused

PotteringAlong · 15/10/2019 07:17

Well no, a black mini dress doesn’t mean prostitute but:

Petrol station (excellent cctv and number plate recognition so good if anything goes wrong), not knowing who she was meeting until she checks her phone, shaking hands and then getting into car of said unknown makes prostitute more likely.

The clothes were not the deciding factor here!
