flight seats

WIBU to book an aisle seat and a window seat on a long haul flight because one of us prefers the window seat and one of us prefers the aisle? We're hoping that (as we know the flight is often not full) that the airline will then avoid putting somebody in the middle of us.

If somebody does end up in the middle then we wouldn't expect them to swap seats, we'd just put up with it.

Please don't knit. It looks sinister.

The ridiculous person who said “it’s the fault of the person who choose to have the middle seat”, of course they bloody don’t choose a middle seat, it’s because it’s only what’s left.

It's not Premium Economy, it's just a dubious little money-spinner SQ offers when you're choosing your seat online - 'upgrade to an extra legroom seat for $100'

I've fallen for it before & found it to be a pointless waste of money TBH.

It's very common to see people booking seats apart like this, personally I think it's rather bad form and bad manners. That said, long haul flights in cattle class are such unmitigated misery, it's probably little wonder people resort to these sorts of games
