If your husband was away for the night and your 12 week old happened to sleep through for only the second time, would you tell them the truth or would it be unreasonable to let them think you’ve had another broken night’s sleep from getting up to feed?

Important to remember he’s had a night in a hotel with no child to get up to.

Oh if be very dramatic, say I’d had no more than 2 hours of sleep and get lunch and dinner cooked for me AND a nap out of it.

I'd be honest. Unless there is a drip feed that he's a shit husband and father. Past that no, I'd not lie so I could use him.

So sorry you had such a rough night OP, you must surely deserve a night in a hotel very soon (with spa in hotel obv) just to get over this! Tbh, I'd tell him the truth, but not before I'd made him believe how terrible it was.

I would just say how extremely tired I am, how happy I am to have him home and how I hope I never have to be a single mother! Grin
