I pay £50 to tint my regrowth at an aveda salon. Does anybody know if its significantly better than loreal or other brands? Looking to save a bit of money!

I paid over 100 once and it was the best color that I have ever had. when it grew out , it still looked so lovely. alot of people commented on it as well. so worth it.

Mine is dark hair and the tint is to cover greys and I do it every 8-10 weeks as my hair grows really quickly and is very thick.

No. Any 'salon' product sold in marks and spencer and john lewis loses its credibility and standards. They are owned by Estee Lauder now, so not even the same ethics or brand really.

There is better colour out there.

That's silly.

Does anybody have any recommendations for an alternative?

I go to a salon that was Aveda but now uses Davines. It's really good and very ethical and no nasties.

I’ve been using Aveda products for over 30 years. I grew up in the US where the original Aveda Institute is located and went the original Horst salons. I’m the first to say I’m not a fan of some of the changes introduced after the sale of the product line to Estée Lauder, but the one area I will give them credit is their color line. It has continued to improve over the years.

I routinely have random people...men and women complement my color. I wouldn’t use anything else.
