  1. The MW with her tape measure reckons I'm spot on for dates, all the scans show healthy normal size baby etc and yet the bump seems teeny in comparison with most people's and the woman in Mothercare told me sternly I shouldn't be trying on nursing bras before 24wks . And I'm only 5'8" and a 10-12, so it's not like it's hiding behind a giant pelvis/ribcage combo or anything.
  1. But it's still damned uncomfortable.

  2. I am constantly thirsty but my bladder can only hold approx 10ml.

  3. The house is filthy and I can't be arsed to do anything about it

  4. The people who are meant to be delivering my right-on eco lentil washable nappy stuff haven't, and aren't answering the phone.

  5. My toenails are in a state and I cannot reach to do them.

  6. The freezer needs defrosting.

  7. All nursing bras are ugly.

  8. The shops are full of nice-looking autumn/winter clothes and I can't buy anything except aforementioned ugly nursing bras.

  9. It's raining

  10. I couldn't get back to sleep after DH got up at 5am.

  11. The world is a smelly and unkind place.

Ooh, thank you for letting me rant, that feels better.
[goes to make cup of tea]

perhaps you are nesting, but just directing energies at toes instead of cupboards. hmm actulaly that freezer defrosting urge might be a telling point.

Mothercare staff need lessons in tact - it should be a term of their employment IMO - I was told I had no need to hurry ordering a cot and pushchair as they only took 7 weeks to arrive and I had a long way to go didn't I?

I was 33 weeks at the time, the order arrived 7 weeks later on a Monday and DS1 was born on the Thursday. They really should keep their opinions to themselves - it could be very upsetting if you hadn't had reassurance from the MW that everything was OK. Why would it matter to them when I ordered anyway!!!

On the upside, I was back to my pre-baby weight in less than 2 weeks with DS1 and within 4 days with DS2 so having a neat bump does have it's advantages!!

Oh and only defrost the freezer if the only thing in it is ice .

MrsBadger

I am jealous of your bump, i have 2 1/2 weeks and look about twice the size of yours, but i am only 5'1".

I am jealous at the fact that your bladder can hold 10ml, mine about 2ml .

sorry dd just pressed the button.

I measured to dates last time and dd was 9lb 4oz. Again i am measuring for dates, when i mention to the midwife that what i was told that last time, she just perhaps i just hide big babies. God know's where .

maybe we have unusually petite spleens, or particularly compressible intestines or something...

Ooo! You're bump looks lovely. It's because you're not a short arse like me. I'm also all leg and no body, so there was nowhere for DD to go. I was compared to Mr Greedy (now I'm not hormonal I admit I can see a tiny resemblance in the photos ). My Mum only recently admitted that when we went shopping in Mothercare, and she saw me in my undies, that she was horrified at the sight of said freaky alien bump that had lilac shiny skin and that she was convinced that it would never get back to normal!
I think it's time for you to whip all your family into shape and get everyone to run around cleaning while a friend does your toes.

MrsBadger · 14/08/2007 19:08

ah but my family is a hundred miles away, and DH's family is a hundred miles away in the opposite direction.
This is a Good Thing and def worth money spent on a cleaner.

MrsB, I look just like you! Was stopped by pregnant lady in John Lewis today who was much bigger than me and it turned out she was just 6 months! Not sure who was more embarrased!
Anyway, I have started buying clothes to look forward to! Makes me feel much better!

MrsBadger · 14/08/2007 19:24

ooh, now there's an idea
Maybe I should go back and grab the £15 sweater dress I saw in Gap, un-bf-friendly as it is...
