AIBU to be pissed off

November 2018 i booked tickets for Ozzie Osbourne and Judas Priest Feb 2019 at Manchester Arena, tickets arrived 6 days before gig 3 days later all postponed as Ozzie was not well, have held on to my tickets, dates rearranged for Feb 2020, and today it has been announced that it has been postponed again, so i have got my tickets refunded AIBU to be mightily pissed off that i will now not get to see two bands i really wanted to see

Of course yanbu to be pissed off. That's really annoying and disappointing. But what can ya do 🤷🏼‍♀️

AndysFavouriteToy · 10/10/2019 12:30

Yabu. Yes it's disappointing but Izzy has been really unwell, he has had surgeries on his back and spine, flu, pneumonia, fallen and hurt himself. It sucks he isn't able to perform but surely as a "fan" you would want him to recover fully?

isseywithcats · 10/10/2019 12:37

yes sad that hes ill but if his health is that fragile he should not have arranged the tour in the first place and raised expectations and even if rearranged that would mean i would have held the tickets for two years is that reasonable hes not exactly poor so he should retire and look after his health i dont earn a huge amount of wages and the ticket money was a fair chunk of my monthly wages and it was a bonus being able to go to see Judas priest on the same night as i come from Birmingham originally , oh well money from refund will go towards next years holiday

You sound pretty callous actually. You got your money back, what more do you want? I'm sure he hopes he was well enough to play too!

Damntheman · 10/10/2019 13:31

Wow you sound callous AF. Artists are people not automatons. Ozzie might not have a choice regarding the tour, his label could have pushed him into it, he might be in need of the money. Michael Jackson was also in desperate need of the money when he did his tour that he really shouldn't have done. It happens a lot.

Does it suck that something you were looking forward to got cancelled? Absolutely yes, you have my sympathy. Does it suck MORE for Ozzy and the musicians who lost the work? Yep.

AndysFavouriteToy · 10/10/2019 13:35

Maybe he doesn't want to retire?
Maybe he didn't foresee the flu developing into pnemonia?
Maybe he didn't plan to fall down?
All the money in the world doesn't mean he can help being unwell and I'm pretty sure he would rather be performing to you than stuck in bed.
I get your disappointed but you sound like you are mad at Ozzy for getting sick 😂

MrsMaiselsMuff · 10/10/2019 13:36

I was a little sympathetic but your reply is just nasty. Get some perspective.

Whattodoabout · 10/10/2019 13:36

Yeah, you sound a bit selfish and spiteful tbh. It’s ok to be disappointed but I’m not sure what else you expect poor Ozzy to do, he’s not well.

GettingABitDesperateNow · 10/10/2019 13:39

Yeah what a bastard, he should have looked into his crystal ball, seen he was going to catch the flu and develop complications, and refused any future work

PralineCookie · 10/10/2019 13:39

I had tickets for Dio. Then RJD got stomach cancer and died. Inconsiderate bastard.

Nasty response. I can’t imagine why performers don’t bend over backwards to satisfy their fans if they’re all as lovely as you. You sound incredibly self absorbed. Stamping your foot and pouting. How dare he get sick and throw your plans out of whack? Oh well, you can lick your wounds on holiday next year.

OMGshefoundmeout · 10/10/2019 14:13

YANBU to be disappointed but YABU to be pissed off. You booked to see a frail, 71 yo man. It wasn’t unlikely this would happen.

Over the last 2 years I have booked to see shows that Sheridan Smith was starring in 3 times. She’s only actually managed to perform 1 of those 3 shows. That’s been disappointing too but I am not pissed off at her! That being said, I won’t be paying top dollar (Palladium seats cost £600 for a family of four) for anything with her name on it again.
