To not know what career I want

So, random AIBU but it's been pushed on me a little at the moment.

I'm a 2nd year mature student at a top university, reading psychology & this is the time of year we are expected to apply for grad jobs.
All through 1st year we completed our own personal employability plan. But I had so many issues last year, I'm lucky I made it into 2nd year so haven't done mine.

I just have no idea what I want to do! I have to start thinking about my 3rd year project, starting with something I'm interested in. I have no idea.

Is it normal to be this indecisive?! I'm 26 for reference, it's taken me a long time to finally decide on a course I want to study. I don't think I can wait another 10 years before deciding on a career though 😂

Would you be willing to get another qualification? 9-10 month course & I think you can work while on the course.

High demand for PWPs.

Maybe consider a more general graduate scheme (Civil Service Fast Stream, for example?) rather than a very narrow track.

Start from the other end: google the jobs in relevant field and see what qualifications/ experience they require. Then work to match that long term.
That’s been my strategy so far. Successful i must add.

You might not know what to do because you might lack knowledge of what are the possible roles in your field. Hence again, google job adds to get a good idea what might be a good fit for you. Get inspired. And then work towards it.

Thanks for the advice.
I'm definitely gonna spend today googling and seeing what's out there. I'll make up my mine one day 😂
