Ongoing issue with another student. Dd has been reporting incidents for weeks. Student has been nasty verbally to others.

I have left it weeks for dd to try and sort it out with guidance as she is college age and we thought we had nailed it.

However it has started again and dd has special needs and is struggling.

She asked dd if she was not her friend, dd said no not really but left it at that.
Student has now run crying to staff and accused the kids she has been being nasty to of bullying her and I'm pissed.

As your daughter as special needs I would arrange to go in with her to try to help her sort it out but I would let her do as much of the talking as possible and just advocate for her where necessary.

Due to her SEN I would support her in raising it and advocate for her.

To be honest the whole thing sounds like very childish primary playground stuff. It would seem the other student could be quite the manipulator and I'd be advising DC to keep her distance in future.

Given DDs SEN I would contact them Be prepared to have to accept very little information in return, i.e. if the other girl also has SEN etc

Good luck

from my memory - isn't there a SENCO for special needs as college (may go under a different name) Contact this person & tell them what has been happening also talk to class tutor. (Similar happened to my dd)

Crack on. Your dds education is being disrupted.

I would definitely weigh in on dd’s behalf. Gah! I hope the teachers know that it’s often the bullies themselves who go crying to the authorities saying that they are being bullied! Have seen it time & again!
