To think I’d be ok to drive tomorrow?

I fell down the last two stairs on Friday. Went for X-ray because foot came up all swollen, didn’t break anything, was told just soft tissue damage and would take a couple of weeks to heal.

It’s been really sore, swollen and bruised but isn’t as sore today. I know no-one can tell me if I’d be ok to drive, it still hurts a bit if I ‘press’ as I would need to for driving and is right foot so worried about breaking/being able to stop if needed to quickly. Would I be ok to drive a short distance tomorrow (10 minutes drive) can’t walk because still hobbling a bit or should I play it safe and get a taxi?

Get a taxi. You have to consider if you could do an emergency stop, and it doesn’t sound like you could

What would happen if you had to do an emergency stop? Would you lose control of the braking manoeuvre?

Don't drive. Find another way.

Yes that was what I was worried about, I’ll get a taxi for tomorrow.

How long would I leave it before driving? Until it’s not hurting at all?

Until you can safely drive. That might be a few days. Only you will know when you can do things like that!

I fell down the stairs nearly 5 years ago, and my ankle is still painful from the damage. Not broken.
