I was recently very ill and went down frim 9 stone to 7 and a half stone. During this time i was very weak but still had to get on with regular parenting (picking a strong and heavy two year old up, putting him in car seat etc) my hands, forearm and lower legs feel achy sometimes and tendons sore. Aibu to think that i have possible strained myself by lifting heavy child when i was very weak and fragile?

Has anyone else had this? They say motherhood is hard. It never once occured to me that it could be hard on the body too.

Hope your starting to feel better... yes motherhood has affected both my wrists !! I have never had issues before but now I'm regularly strapping both wrists up as they are in agony at times and my daughter is only five months .. meaning I've got years of lifting her as yet!

Sounds likely. My two year old isn't walking yet so I am picking her up constantly and I threw my back out the other week. Motherhood is bloody hard on the body!! I hope you can find a way to get a bit of rest and recovery in. Flowers

I regularly have a sore back it shoulders now after having DD. She is large for her age (shes nearly 2 and on the 95th centile for both her height and weight)and days when it's just me and her and dad isn't here to help out I can end up really sore from carrying her and putting her in and out of the car! I'm maybe needing to go to the gym a bit more to build up my strength!
