My sister works in the Lake District and came across these reviews of Castlerigg Stone circle. Not sure what the reviewers were expecting, especially as the clue is in the name!

I love reviews like this! Where’s that one about Ben Nevis being too steep and not having a cafe?

littlepaddypaws · 05/10/2019 15:07

i read one once when someone complained about the seagulls being too loud...at a seaside resort.
there really are some idiots out there.

LolaSmiles · 05/10/2019 15:08

I love ridiculous complaints.

It's like complaining about the midges when you go walking by water

Tableclothing · 05/10/2019 15:09

I particularly enjoyed the reviews that complained about the weather.

Bezalelle · 05/10/2019 15:19

My favourite was one I saw of Mount Snowdon: "TOO HIGH".

SomeonesSomeone · 05/10/2019 15:51

It always makes me laugh when people visit an area famed for it's "nature" based attributes and go on to complain that there is too much "only nature" for them to see because "it's boring".

I think I shall call them, idiots.

Lockheart · 05/10/2019 16:10

There is, or used to be, a review on Tripadvisor complaining that Portchester Castle (a ruin) had "bits missing".

Pikachusmum · 05/10/2019 16:21

People are idiots. I love this quirky country and all the weird places to explore. Unfortunately these type of people frequent chain shops and love reality tv. Sadly they're a lot more of them than they're are of us.

VaguelySensible · 05/10/2019 16:29

Yeah, it's a fairly accurate review. Castlerigg Stone Circle is basically just a circle of stones. Not spectacular stones like, say Stonehenge. And there's no visitors' shop or facilities of any kind.

And my dc loved it and I couldn't drag them away.

RainbowAlicorn · 05/10/2019 17:26

@Lockheart that review is still there, just gone and had a look 😂. They also say it is dated, a waste of land and they should have built a swimming pool instead.
