To have expected an update on my complaint?

I put in a complaint regarding a gp appointment and spoke to the practice manager on the phone.

That was 2 weeks ago and I’ve heard nothing

A simple complaint should only take 5 working days but a more serious/complicated complaint will take 20 working days (4 weeks) so it would depend on the type of complaint

There could be good reason why you haven't heard back, people on leave, people having other priorities, responses having to be authorised by other people, taking time to investigate. But they should let you know what's happening with it.
