My hair is falling out

I’ve brushed my hair and by the end I could not see the teeth on the hair brush. I have a normal/big size hair brush too. The last time this happened was after I gave birth 5 and a half years ago, and that was annoying enough.

Could this be stress related? I don’t wash my hair everyday so don’t wash it each time I shower.

I would get a blood test done. It’s a common sign of certain deficiencies or thyroid problems.

If you’re not washing or brushing frequently, it could appear more problematic than the actuality. I believe that shedding 60-100 hairs a day is normal.

That being said, I have PCOS, Hashimoto’s and low ferritin levels, so regularly go through massive sheds. Blood tests would be a good starting point.

As above, could be iron deficiency anaemia, folate, ferritin etc. Go to your GP for a blood test.
