AINU to think this remark is somewhat off?

DH’s cousin puts rather risqué photos on Facebook etc. Basically boobs on show.

On a recent one, the most revealing to date, that gained several “phwoooar” type remarks from various men, her father has commented “You’re a credit to us babe”. I find this an odd remark for such a picture from her dad! Is it just me?

Definitely not, it does seem a bit strange. If I'd have put a picture up like that when my dad was alive I'd of been getting a stern phone call, regardless of age

He probably was being sarcastic

Hadn’t thought of that, but I don’t think so because he put kissing emojis and she replied with “love you daddio” and more kisses. I think it is genuine.

( Not saying there is anything wrong with the kissing or living sentiments.)

if it’s sarcasm he’s never used it before. I’ve scrolled back. His usual comments are to tell his daughter she looks fat or old 😡. I’ve never looked before. But there are quite a few comments addressing his nasty ones, so I think this is a misguided attempt to try and say something that people won’t jump on.
