My guy friend avoiding me all of a sudden!

Hi,I hope someone can help me figure this out but my guy friend has all of a sudden started avoiding me.I am confused because we used to have a laugh but now he's acting distant with me.We have not had an argument either.I am confused.I thought we were friends.

Either he's got a girlfriend & it's at the new spending every bit of time you can with them stage or, he thinks you're into him as more than a friend : & he's not into you that way.

He probably had a sex dream about you.

@CSIblonde but we've been friends for years and when he had a girlfriend we were still in contact.So Im trying to figure out why he's avoiding me now.

You need to ask him, but at a guess, I’d say that you’ve either been a bit of a pain in the neck recently or he thinks you fancy him and he isn’t keen.

Only one way to find out.

He might have had gfs before but maybe this one doesn’t like him having a close female friend so he is backing off (it does happen!)

Maybe he has realised that he fancies you and if that's inappropriate, ie either or both of you are currently in a relationship, he has decided to withdraw a bit to stop himself acting on his feelings which could end your friendship?

I would guess he had a new girlfriend, who doesn't like his close friendship with you.

I agree with WhatshouldIdonoww and Leeds2. There may be a new girlfriend in the picture who feels threatened by you. You should ask your friend what's up - at least then you'll know (the truth, hopefully).

Not meaning to sound rude but how would we know? We dont know you or him 😳. Just ask him!
