Just taken dc to an activity and passed a house with a big Christmas tree in the window complete with fairy light!
Is 26th September - why ?????

I like Christmas but not in September!

Far too early. I love Christmas, but after having the tree up for a couple of weeks i'm sick of the sight of it.

Actionhasmagic · 26/09/2019 19:42

Really? It was probably a Christmas ad shoot

Way too early!!

We usually put ours up around a week before Christmas, but I do like seeing other people’s decorations when they go up earlier - but not in September.

Look at it another way. Some people are dying and won't see Christmas. It's common in such situations to celebrate early. Don't presume anything.

Definitely not a photoshoot. Average 1930s house on the Main road. Tree placed in a bay window with curtains closed behind it so it was only on show to those outside.

About 3 months too early!

It is too early, but also, they could be having a last Christmas with someone who is dying. Or celebrating with military personel who will be deployed soon.
