To think wages might go in on Saturday?

Due to get paid on Monday, last working day of the month. I bank with Barclays, sometimes if payday falls on a weekend it goes in on the Friday. And I’m sure in the past there’s been instances where it’s gone in early if due on a Monday.

But I know Barclays changed something last year about payments going in early, and my pay date itself changed in Feb so cant really look back on my bank history to see if I’ve been paid early before.

Any ideas any Barclays customers?

Have a weekend away planned and have enough money to survive but it would be nice to have more than survival money available

This did actually used to happen when I banked with Barclays. Always a nice surprise.

I get paid on first working day after 6th of month. If this was a Monday then salary used to go in on Saturday (NatWest), and payments would debit. However something changed and now the salary isn't credited till Monday but neither do Saturday payments debit

I recollect this affected Barclays Customers too

Ugh - i am NatWest and it used to go in on the Sat - had a feeling it didnt any more :(

Ring them and ask, it might also depend on your how your employer deals with weekend payment dates

If your company also banks with Barclays there a good chance it will be in on Saturday

My husband works for Barclays but we don't bank with them. If his payday falls at a weekend he gets on the working day before. If it's a Monday, he gets paid on a a Monday.

I think most companies trigger pay on a specific day as they have to make any adjustments - it doesn't go through automatically

Sorry I think I'm missing the point of op's question.

This used to happen due to weekend pre-positioning, where payments due in or out on a Monday would hit after midnight Friday. This was changed a year or so ago though and they now hit correctly on a Monday, sorry.

If you're laid by bacs and due to be pad Monday, the bank will have the money tomorrow afternoon. I bank with Monzo, and they give you the option to get your payment when they have it, so the day before

I'm with Barclays. Any payments due to me on Mondays are in my bank account on the Saturday. This includes wages/student loan etc...

I'm my company, if payday was a Monday then no money would hit anyones accounts until Monday. If payday falls on Saturday or Sunday then everyone gets paid on the Friday. So everyone gets paid same day, regardless of who they bank with.

Always get paid a Mondays money on a Saturday with Barclays. X

I am with Barclays...if my pay date is a Monday it's always in on a Saturday...never fails

I got paid early after all, about 5 minutes ago, despite Monday being my official payday. Weekend plans are saved! Hurrah!

Is this still the case? I get paid Monday, I’m with Barclays and expected to wake up to being paid but I haven’t ha ha.

I'm supposed to get paid on Monday 6th June will I received my payment early as I currently opened a bank with Barclay will I get paid on the Saturday early or will I get in on Monday?
