Diamonds from Africa

My partner is a designer and has been asked to produce designs and publicity material for an importer of diamonds. My instincts are totally against doing any work for an unethical trade. Or maybe it isn't unethical these days? Help please AIBU?

There are ethical diamonds but I wouldn't want to be involved in anything that could be related to blood diamonds. I'd assume that a company that did not advertise the ethical origins of their diamonds could be dodgy. Can you look up the company online?
