To not go to her house again?

My friend has a really aggressive dog. I absolutely love dogs, grew up with dogs, have never felt nervous around them. However this dog is horrible. It has bit multiple people and went for my husbands face the last time we were round. I genuinely never want to go to their house again if that dog is there.

Ok so don't.

Also why do people put up with having dogs like this?? I can't imagine wanting to have such an aggressive horrible animal on my home.

If she has an aggressive dog that is not controlled, YANBU, even if she thinks it is fine, it will make you nervous

Rosere · 22/09/2019 14:07

That's fair enough.

bluegirlgreen · 22/09/2019 14:08

If this is true, this needs reporting. RSPCA maybe.

Why have the multiple people who have been bitten not reported this? To the police?

Sparklesocks · 22/09/2019 14:10

YANBU for not wanting to go round there if your dog tried to attack your husband. What did they say when it happened? If it’s bitten multiple people it’s a dangerous dog and should be reported.

Sparklesocks · 22/09/2019 14:10

Sorry the dog not your dog

Lily2811 · 22/09/2019 14:11

@bluegirlgreen of course it's true. Why would I come on here and lie. None of them have reported it because they're all family and friends.

You are most certainly not being unreasonable.
Like you I too love dogs . I know people with problem dogs and admire the way they don't lose the faith with them but a dog who bites like the one you describe is a serious accident waiting to happen .

Nothing would induce me to visit this friend even if the dog was muzzled which it should probably be !
