You're not doctors I know. I'm making an appointment but want to go with some sort of background/idea or I'll get dismissed.
Just be clear, I know this issue isn't a food allergy ;because it doesn't make me ill enough.
For well over a year I've been getting sudden but unpredicatable tummy bloating, my stomach goes very hard and I look 9 months pregnant. It's uncomfortable and I've also started getting indigestion which I've never had before. I've got general brain fog, and am always so , so tired. No different toilet habits or sleeping. In hindsight, my tummy was constantly v loudly grumbling and popping.
I can't always tell if I'm hungry, and I don't need to eat much before I'm full. I've not actually lost any weight though (which is a pain as I need to). My weight has stayed exactly the same since this has started. I do mean exactly. If I have a week eating nothing but chocolate, or a week eating nothing but salad, my weight does not change. It's bizarre. I know you're saying I'm obviously not aware of what I'm actually eating but I've kept food diaries.
I noticed that my tummy always went hard and uncomfortable after eating bread. So I've been gluten free for a month. My tummy is much quieter (I no longer get embarrassed in quiet meetings) and to start with I wasn't getting the bloating/discomfort so thought it was that. But now the bloating has started again. :(
In the past I have been known to decide I'm avoiding x or only eating y but to then change back so my husband is cynically supportive.
