I live in a row of terraces where every 2 houses has a shared path splitting the front gardens so it’s all open and very close quarters. Our front doors are literally centimetres away from each other as I presume they were once big houses now split into 2. The gardens aren’t very big and not really usable in terms of leisure, just there to look at really. My next door neighbours have taken to sitting on chairs outside their front door and blasting music through a speaker. I went out to do some shopping earlier and they were out there drinking cans of beer with some empties littered on the shared path. I can hear the music all the way up on the third floor! Trying to get some work done for my nurse training and thought I was going mad.
I get that it’s a nice day but I feel it’s a bit inconsiderate to those around them. They have a large enough private back garden so can’t see why they’re sat outside their front door. I don’t want to listen to their music. It’s a nice quiet area, only our row of terraces on this road and a big forested area across the way. I can’t sit in the lounge to relax as all I can hear is the same Beatles song over and over it’s driving me mad. AIBU to think if you want to blast music you should do it inside your house where there’s soundproofing?
