As in, if you don't stop barking I'll sell you to the kebab man. Idle threat clearly not that the dog can understand, but hope ds didn't hear! Will have to be more careful

I've threatened the cat I'll send her back to the rescue home if she brings any more mice in . Hope she doesn't report me to the RSCPA.

I frequently threaten all our animals with similar horrific demises. Sadly, they take my idle threats...er, idly. The chickens are particularly dismissive of my truculence.

our dog was apparently foudn in a train station as a puppy. he's forever being threatened that he'll be sent back there.

Sorry sounded a bit personal & scary there - I'll explain. I have a neighbour who can see into my conservatory thru her window, & the other day I hadn't taken the washing upstairs & was out of undies having just showered, so thought I would just pop & get some. Cue outraged neighbour gawking thru window at me in the altogether & I must say I'm no cover girl, what with my muffin tummy & all.

But from my point of view, she is being extrmely rude looking thru my damn windows in the first place!! If she comes round I will tell her.
