Have tried to order a fortnum & mason food hamper from Uk for delivery to South Africa! Argh restrictions forbid it, any suggestions of other companies that deliver to South Africa, luxury gift needed

Have you tried Harrods? or failing that can you order the hamper from F and M and have it delivered to you and then arrange for it to be shipped out by UPS maybe? Just a thought

or try a personal concierge service like The Organisers, com or quintessentially.com ..not cheap but they get the job done!

Any gift ideas for my df in her 50's? She has travelled extensively, lived & worked in London for a while, no kids, loves animals & loves to eat, drink & party

Whats your budget? I would suggest if its flexible...cashmere wrap..leather gloves..nice scalf as its getting to that season. More reasonable budget if she loves animals what about a subscription to WWF on her behalf,,like a sponsership of an animal. Then the usual stuff like a spa day..with afternoon tea or weekend away to see a show maybe? Or a nice piece of jewellery ...it all depends on what you have to spend really. I have just bought my son a weekend in lapland with a stay in an igloo! He travels a lot with work but I know he hasnt done this! If your friend is an adventurous 50s then how about a stay in the ice hotel when it opens...cocktails aplenty there too!

Can’t you find a store based in SA that does luxury hampers? Then you pay for it & they deliver to DF. Sending food abroad is dodgy and it may not get through customs otherwise.
