....of trolls on MN? It's like driving past a car crash. I'm appalled that I want to look but I can't help myself. Plus, I've learned a new insult...CF! I think I know what it stands for.
Anyhow, it led me to delve a little into the psyche behind some of the posters...call them trolls, call them armchair warriors.....number 4 seems most applicable www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/better-living-technology/201408/why-the-online-trolls-troll
In conclusion, I'm not sure which shocks me most. The trolling or my desire to spectate like someone at a hanging in days of old.

Try craigslist or reddit, or god forbid twitter. The trolls here are mere amateurs compared with other places.

I must have led a sheltered social media life.

One thing I love about MN is that the staff is really on top of users reporting trolling or abusive posts and deleting them promptly. That makes it a losing battle for the trolls and either give up or move on.

Yes I've noticed deleted posts... I guessed that they have crossed the line

What do you think CF stands for?

Pinkginhelps · 19/09/2019 06:34

Ha ha. It transpires I need to get my mind out of the gutter. I'd thought something more offensive than my friend Google suggests. I think l prefer my version...if used sparingly
