Are my tastebuds BU or have KitKats changed?

I hadn't eaten a KitKat for years, but had one yesterday and it didn't taste at all like I remembered them. I threw half of it away (after hawking round the office, nobody wanted my pre-owned confectionary!).

So, have my tastebuds changed in middle age, or has something happened to KitKats? Used to wolf them down by the packet in the 80's......

They used to be my favourite but I haven't eaten one for ages - I don't know what they have done to them but they have changed and are now actually revolting. I'm assuming it is the chocolate that has changed but I know exactly what you mean...

No. They’ve always been gross!

the chocolate used to be much softer and creamier. They're Nestlé anyway so no loss to boycott them!

I had one yesterday(From a two finger multipack) and it tasted good to me.

Definitely changed - same as you I had one recently after not eating for years and I didn’t like it.

Or maybe they are the same but our taste in chocolate is more sophisticated?

In fact I thought it tasted better than usual, though possibly just a particularly fresh pack?
