Last month, DH was hospitalised for a week due to a condition he has had for some time, but the "long term" treatment is not something we can afford - he requires surgery, and in Canada, the sick benefits would not be enough for us to make it through. He is stable, and the surgeon is OK with him waiting until we are in a better place financially for him to have surgery, as he will require 12+ weeks off.
He was off work for 3 weeks with his hospitalisation, and while we have managed, finances have been tight.
He got a call from his physician today saying that blood results in the hospital had raised a concern - and follow-up results were more concerning.
He has an appointment with the GP tomorrow, and a "Rapid Assessment Clinic" (the cancer clinic) appointment first thing next week.
The GP has said they are concerned about a blood cancer - please help me support him and not lose my mind before next week...
