to think that a barber's shop shouldn't harbour a large repertoire of magazines containing naked women?

I think I should be able to take my sons for a haircut without having to vet all the magazines.

And without them picking up one, and all the other waiting customers start winking and grinning at one another.

This salon has a price list on the wall, itemising various options for children's haircuts, so they're clearly expecting children to frequent their establishment.

And they are very child friendly.

Apart from providing easy access to the soft porn magazines!

Do men really need to sit and stare at this stuff whilst waiting for a hair cut?

What was it?

If it was a porn mag I would have said something.

HairifiedMother · 09/08/2007 18:29

I felt like I was being sniggered at for being an old prude.

And I'm really not.

But I didn't say anything, and I wish I had now.

And there are three hairdressers and two other barbers in town, but they can't cut longer hair on boys properly, and DS1 always ends up with some kind of half bob/half mullet look.

you mustcomplain, by letter if you can't face them.

One dh used to take ds to was like that . Also had business cards for Gay services

HairifiedMother · 09/08/2007 18:32

Wasn't a soft porn mag - that description was a slight over-reaction on my part!

Car mags with half naked women draped all over them.

And daily newspapers with similar pics, and less than choice articles.

That sort of thing.

YANBU. Stupid grubby little men. Buy a really hardcore gay porn mag and slide it into their pile next time you go.

I am going to log onto the petition site to urge the government to insist salons only stock copies of Dorling Kindersley magazines and Record Breakers Annuals.

And great works of fiction from the 20th century.

Without illustrations!

Who's with me?
